Family Services
Shabbat is the centerpiece of the Jewish week and where we gather as a community. Each Friday evening at 5:45 p.m., Rabbi Gertel, Cantor Rosenberg, and student leaders will lead a family-friendly Kabbalat Shabbat service with musical accompaniment. Monthly families are invited to prepare a simple Shabbat dinner for the community, served after Kabbalat Shabbat at 6:15 p.m. on dates to be announced. Let Hadar Sadeh know if you can help cook on Thursday afternoon or evening, set and decorate the table on Friday, and engage in age-appropriate activities.
Please also join us for the monthly Shabbat morning service at 11:00 a.m. that is geared toward kindergarten through 6th grade students and their families. Under the guidance of congregant Rhea Basa, children lead major parts of the service including the Torah reading and discussion. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and family friends are all welcome! Dates for 2011‑12/5772: September 10, October 15, November 5, December 3, January 7, February 4, March 3, April 14, and May 12.
