Professor Chaim Cohen of Ben Gurion University, renowned Bible scholar and expert in ancient near eastern languages, was our Scholar in Residence.

• During the Shabbat morning service, Prof. Cohen spoke on “The Most Significant Pronunciation Mistakes Worshippers Make in Shabbat Morning Prayers.”  Read his handout:  p. 1, p. 2, p. 3. 
• At the Shabbat lunch, he conducted an Open Forum Q & A:  “Everything You’ve Wanted to Ask About Biblical Hebrew, Torah Reading, and the Early History of Israel.”  Participants brought varied questions
• Professor Cohen also gave a Torah Reading Seminar after the mincha service .
