RODFEI ZEDEK 'S DAILY MINYAN
Morning minyan gives us a spiritual recharge when we need it most - every morning before the workday begins! We're out in time to be downtown before 9:00. The minyan is also a friendly resource for those saying kaddish (the memorial prayer) during mourning or for yahrzeit (the anniversary of the date of the passing). Dress is whatever the rest of your day requires! Minyan members lead the davening (prayers). Come everyday, once a week, or once in a while. Learn to chant the weekday liturgy with SiddurAudio.
- Weekdays – 7:30 a.m.
- Sundays and national holidays – 9:00 a.m.
- Evenings – 6:00 p.m. by request…
Minyan Alert: If you are planning to observe a yahrzeit at a daily minyan (especially in the evening), please call the synagogue office at 773-752-2770 two or three days in advance and bring relatives and friends with you. Together we can try to ensure the presence of a minyan to help you fulfill this important mitzvah.
Rabbi's Gertel's salute to our minyannaires.
Ed Hamburg is organizing a Chevrah Tefilah, a group dedicated to becoming and evolving as Shlichai Tzibbur, “emissaries of the congregation” as leaders of prayer. We will meet periodically to develop our capabilities, share materials and melodies, and just explore how to best assume the responsibilities of this role. All prayer services are within its mission, from Shabbat to daily to High Holidays to Shiva minyanim. Participants at all levels of experience (including none) are welcome and needed. Interested? Contact Ed to let him know the prayer services you have led at some point, somewhere, in the past. Questions? He'd love to answer them. |
