JECxCRZ Family Chanukah Party

Close out Chanukah in community! Celebrate the eighth night of Chanukah with cookie decoration, art, dreidel play, and community candle lighting and singing for the whole family. The Jewish Enrichment Center and Congregation Rodfei Zedek are excited to co-host this program together! The Jewish Enrichment Center will lead the activities for children, and the candle lighting and singing will be led by Cantor Rachel Rosenberg. Please bring your own chanukiyyah (Chanukah menorah) for the community candle lighting. We look forward to celebrating with your family!

 

As part of this event, we will also be collecting food to Stock the Fridge! Please feel free to bring any of the below items to help us keep our Love Fridge stocked as we enter the winter season:

  • Sealed packaged foods
  • Cheeses
  • Fresh fruit
  • Fresh vegetables
  • Table sauces
  • Pastry
  • Bread
  • Unopened pasteurized milk and yogurt
  • Unopened fruit juices
  • Fresh eggs (with a use-by date)
  • Cured meats (in a sealed container with a use-by date)

Waiver of Liability Relating to
Coronavirus/COVID-19

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is reported to be extremely contagious. The state of medical knowledge is evolving, but the virus is believed to spread from person-to-person contact and/or by contact with contaminated surfaces and objects, and even possibly in the air. People reportedly can be infected and show no symptoms and therefore spread the disease. The exact methods of spread and contraction are unknown, and there is no known treatment, cure, or vaccine for COVID-19. Evidence has shown that COVID-19 can cause serious and potentially life threatening illness and even death.

Congregation Rodfei Zedek (CRZ) cannot prevent you or your child(ren) from becoming exposed to, contracting, or spreading COVID-19 while utilizing CRZ’s services or premises or attending any services sponsored by CRZ. It is not possible to prevent against the presence of the disease. Therefore, if you choose to utilize CRZ’s services and/or enter onto CRZ’s premises and/or attending any services sponsored by CRZ you may be exposing yourself to and/or increasing your risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK: I have read and understood the above warning concerning COVID-19. I hereby choose to accept the risk of contracting COVID-19 for myself and/or my immediate family members in order to utilize CRZ’s services, enter CRZ’s premises and/or attend any services sponsored by CRZ. These services are of such value to me and/or to my immediate family members, that I accept the risk of being exposed to, contracting, and/or spreading COVID-19 in order to utilize CRZ’s services and attend any services sponsored by CRZ in person.

WAIVER OF LAWSUIT/LIABILITY: I, on behalf of myself and my immediate family members, hereby forever release and waive my right to bring suit against CRZ and its officers, directors, managers, officials, trustees, agents, employees, or other representatives in connection with exposure, infection, and/or spread of COVID-19 related to utilizing CRZ’s services and premises or attending any services sponsored by CRZ. I understand that this waiver means I give up my right and the right of my immediate family members to bring any claims including for personal injuries, death, disease or property losses, or any other loss, including but not limited to claims of negligence and give up any claim I or any of my immediate family members may have to seek damages, whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen.

CHOICE OF LAW: I understand and agree that the law of the State of Illinois will apply to this contract.

Please note that, as part of Congregation Rodfei Zedek's COVID-19 guidelines, everyone who is eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine must be fully-vaccinated. We will not require proof to be presented, but encourage everyone to protect themselves and each other by getting vaccinated.
In compliance with the City of Chicago's requirements, masks covering the nose and mouth must be worn in the building at all times by all individuals ages 2+.
