Sunday, March 23, 2025 23 Adar 5785

7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

A dedicated activist and top leader of the Masorti/Conservative Movement in Israel joins us for an urgent conversation about how we can make our voices heard as American Jews and help secure Israel’s future as a Jewish and democratic state and strengthen traditional, inclusive Judaism in Israel.

Rena Magun serves as an Associate Member of the Jewish Agency Board of Directors representing the global Masorti/Conservative Movement. In this role, Rena works to promote and protect the rights of Masorti/Conservative Jews in Israel as well as to make sure Masorti/Conservative communities worldwide receive their fair share of the resources allocated by the largest Jewish nonprofit in the world. The Immediate Past President of Ma'ayanot, Jerusalem's first egalitarian Masorti/Conservative minyan, Rena is one of the most well-known and well-respected leaders from the Masorti Movement in Israel. Rena has had a diverse management career in the US and Israel, including Jewish communal service and informal Jewish education. She currently runs her own incoming Israel travel venture with her husband, Chicago native, Rabbi David Ebstein.

Originally from New Jersey, Rena has lived in Jerusalem for almost 30 years. She has four adult children, one of whom was away from his 2 tiny sons for 9 months while he served as a reserve soldier after October 7.
