This American Shabbat is based upon National Public Radio's "This American Life." But, rather than Ira Glass and a trio of commentators discussing a theme from various perspectives, three members of our community, Reyna Levine, Scott Stern, and Nancy Peltzman, will offer individual, nuanced understandings of the week's Torah Portion.

The program challenges the participants, and all of us, to understand how our personal exploration of Judaism relates to the Torah.
